Owned and run by none other than The Orient Express Group, The Napasai occupies a perfect position  on Koh Samui in its own estate, but also within reach of nightlife and a choice of restaurants should you want it.

Rooms:-

All the rooms are very generously sized starting with the Seaview Hill Villas (c. 65m2) and then finishing with the Beachfront Villa Suites by the sea.  All rooms have large bathrooms, day bed, TV, DVD, Stereo, balcony/ veranda, DDI phones , mini-bar and air-conditioning.

The design of the rooms is contemporary Thai with plenty of teak wood, colourful triangular shaped cushions and a lovely balcony or veranda to look out to sea from. The bathroom with its rainfall shower and terazzo bath, coupled with unique bathing products, accentuate the quality of the room.

Top Villas:-

The 2 and 3 bedroom private pool residences offer a villa option for family or friends, or maybe a couple wanting complete seclusion. These rooms are all set along the waterfront, some higher up the hill, and others down near the waters edge.  The bedrooms are all en-suite and in addition they have 2 upper terraces, a kitchen and a living room. There is plenty of space around the 11 metre pools for lounging and dining.  These are some of the best villas within a full hotel service environment in Thailand.

Spa: -

Nestled in a peaceful sanctuary, surrounded by wonderful flora, the Spa at Napasai is a sanctuary of serenity and natural beauty for those seeking to relax and restore body and mind.

The Spa offers a wide range of relaxing treatments, massages and indulgences, rooted in Thai traditional medicine, local herbs and Oriental philosophies. Inspired by an Asian healing philosophy, Napasai Spa's holistic treatments use a combination of natural ingredients such as tropical fruits and flowers to balance physical and psychological wellbeing and Pala Energy body massage to encourage energy flow. They also offer yoga and Tai Chi on certain days and any day if you want to book privately.

Dining:

As you’d expect from a hotel featuring the Orient Express name, the standard of food is high. Lai Thai offers a unique menu, with authentic Thai dishes, some western and some fusion of Thai and Western which produces such delights as a Bouillabaisse soup with Thai aroma and spices.

For a more casual atmosphere the Beach Restaurant offers Thai and western again, bit with some more lunch time snacks and salads available.

The Lobby and Pool bars complete the food and beverage arrangements and the pool bar is a very nice place to end the day with a cocktail.

Other facilities:-

There is a large swimming pool near the beach, gym, tennis, diving, snorkeling, a golf course very nearby (frequented by the aptly nicknamed sales manager “ “Golf” – a  Thai women’s champion!) ,  canoeing, windsurfing, hobbie cats, badminton, beach volleyball, mountain biking and table tennis.

Final word:

The Napasai has achieved the perfect blend of being boutique while having enough facilities to suit an array of clientele. If you’re looking for a 5* resort, with a quaint beach that won’t break the bank then Napasai will certainly tick the box. It’s suitable for honeymooners but also has enough to keep the older children occupied if you went for one of the villas and for those wanting some action then Boh Phut is only 5-7 minutes in a cab. Quite simply, a brilliant all rounder maintaining the standards of  The Orient Express.
