Location

Set in a stunning hillside location lies Phu Chaisai, 40 minutes from Chiang Rai town. A complete oasis of calm and tranquillity, the outstanding feature of this resort has to be the view; it is breathtaking. Practically the whole resort is constructed from bamboo. The Golden Triangle and Chiang Rai's hill tribes are easily accessible from here, and if you want to stay onsite when you are not relaxing in the Spa there is free pottery for guests.

The panoramic restaurant and bar has wonderful mountain views. There is a swimming pool, modest in size, but beautifully designed.

Rooms

The 55 rooms all have air conditioning and fabulous views. There are no televisions, in harmony with the natural vibe here.. although may be possible in the Honeymoon Suite Cottages and Pool Villas with a CD player. The 5 categories of room are as follows: Superior Cottage, Deluxe Cottage, Executive Suite Cottage, The Honeymoon Suite Cottage (with outdoor plunge-pool and sundeck and also an outdoor bathtub), and Pool Villa (also with outdoor plunge-pool and sundeck and also an outdoor bathtub).

Spa

The Spa provides several different types of massage, including Swedish and Thai, as well as other treatments. Most treatment rooms have wonderful mountain views – perfect for experiencing true relaxation.

Phu View Restaurant & Bar

The open-air restaurant with a panoramic mountain views of Doi Mae Salong offers an extensive simple menu, but not too simple. The menu includes outstanding “Sai Oua” (Northern sausage) made from scratch, and even pizza and bread baked fresh daily. Most vegetable and herbs are grown organically on the property, with the goal of being as close to self-sufficient as possible.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is modest – it is better described as a “wading” pool – but beautifully designed. There is also an outdoor lounge next to the pool with fully-stocked bar. This is a good spot to curl up with a holiday paperback in the afternoon or have small parties in the evening.
