Location

As you make the final approach to Soneva Kiri’s private airstrip, you know you are arriving somewhere isolated and completely exclusive. This is desert island luxury as you’ve never seen it before, carried off with absolute class.

Rooms

There is essentially one main room type (The Beach Villa Suites) and then a few larger villas, either Beachside or Clifftop. The emphasis here is all about using local materials, with a couple of imported specialist items like the rain canopies made by none other than Ferrari. The interior of the bedrooms are stripped wood all the way, with mod cons cleverly hidden away. They are very open and airy with a lot of glass and have a rustic luxury that is understated yet incredibly classy. The total living space for the 1 bed beach villa suites comes to 268m2 and the total plots are over 400m2 with the pools which are a very decent 135m2.

The rooms all have: • Deck with open plan sitting area and large dining table, leading onto a lower pool side area • Various large terraced areas with sun loungers • Large half-moon infinity-edged pool • IDD telephone, espresso machine • Wi-fi and LAN connection, DVD player and Bose Hi-fi system with docking station for a personal iPod • Golf buggy for personal use

Spa

As you’d expect with Six Senses managing the resort, the Spa exceeds all expectations in terms of treatment quality, range of therapies available and ambience. Choose from the a la carte menu or take a “Slow Life Journey”, one of many daily packages or a wellness program. Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, personal fitness training and meditation are also available.

Dining

The Dining Room is a relaxed affair offering spectacular views rivalled only by the creative Thai and Mediterranean cuisine. The uniquely-styled Cooking Hut features an expansive wood-fired rock oven, hot and cold smoke oven, and tandoor.

The “piece de resistance” is the Dining Pod. Made from local trees, the pod can take 4 people at a time and once inside, you are winched into the trees for magnificent views over the bay and a truly unforgettable experience.

There is also a gourmet dining option (Ever Soneva So Deli-cious) and South Beach for casual lunches and dinners. Off site, Benz’s Thai is sensational.

Other Activities

Aside from the usual water sports options, you’ll find unique facilities such as Cinema Paradiso, an Observatory, and the Den, a children’s centre of amazing design with unique and sophisticated activities that will test and stimulate even the cleverest young sparks.

Excursions to other islands, PADI diving, mountain biking and kayaking near some of the islands beautiful inland waterfalls are just some of the other diversions on offer on this magical isle.
