The Hilton Niseko

Introduction

The Green Leaf’s larger brother is the Hilton, a 15 minute walk away. Long established as the main hotel in the area, the hotel continues to dominate while maintaining very high standards, sadly not replicated by some hotels in this brand. Its ski credentials are very impressive, again with ski in/ ski out capability and an astounding 50 ski instructors, with 50% of them with English as their mother tongue.

Standard rooms:

Similar in design and feel to The Green Leaf but not as modern.  They feature flat screen TV’s, movie channels, high speed internet access, huge windows, many with mountain views and en-suite bathrooms.  They also boast black out curtains, hairdryers, air-conditioning/ heating, Hilton Serenity Beds TM.  The Family rooms are a little bigger and can sleep 4 with rollaways and a sofa bed.

Top Rooms:

The 61m2 Suites have a separate living room and all have mountain views. Additional features include traditional Japanese Yukata and slippers, luxury bathrobes and cuisineart coffee makers.

Spa  & Onsen:-

The Wakka Spa at the Hilton offers a huge range of treatments and delivers amazing quality in a very serene environment. Start off with a shot of silver birch extract and relax totally before your treatment begins. Whether its sports therapy massage, hot stone therapy or a facial, the Wakka has it all covered after your hard day on the slopes.

In conjunction you can always soak in the hot springs around the hotel. These springs offer slightly different minerals and benefits than the ones at The Green Leaf and since you can use the facilities of both hotels, it will give you a chance to become a master of Onsen !

Dining:-

The eating facilities here are second to none in terms of both quality and choice. From breakfast in “Yotei” with its panoramic view of the slopes to an evening of high grade Japanese meat and seafood of “Melt Bar and Grill”, they have a range of cuisine from east and west to suit all tastes. Our dinner at “Ren” was particularly sensational.

Other:-

The resort’s facilities are really quite endless from a gym to a crèche. The winter activities do not just end with skiing. They have snow mobiles, reindeer rides, snow rafting and trips to the local dairy where the milk is out of this world, showing again that whatever the Japanese turn their hand to they do it to perfection.

Final word:-

If you’re looking for a good base with a lot of facilities then The Hilton Niseko will not disappoint. From the ski in/ ski out convenience to the high quality of food, this is a ski experience will ever taste in the west which is a shame as its one of the most amazing places to ski on earth.
