Location

Set in the gentle hills, 3 kilometres from Ubud in the centre of Bali, this beautiful resort is a tranquil paradise set in lush green surroundings overlooking paddy fields and forested hillsides.

Rooms

We picked this hotel as much for its size as its Spa, and one particular villa type. With only 20 suites and villas it is an intimate hideaway with sensational service and privacy. There are 7 one-bedroom suites, 9 one-bedroom pool villas and, an added bonus at this resort, 3 one-bedroom Spa villas. There's also a “2-bedroom Estate” set in its own 5 hectare plot for ultimate privacy. Room amenities include plasma TV, DVD player, BOSE stereo system and broadband internet.

The Restaurant and Club lounge form the centre of the dining options (such a small resort barely needs the space afforded by this eatery) and the sumptuous Balinese and Indonesian fayre on offer will not fail to delight. However, despite its size, this wouldn't be a GHM resort without at least one other facility, so they have created The Bird Lounge, adjacent to the aviary which serves afternoon tea, delicious snacks and uplifting cocktails in the evening.

Spa

All Spa villas are equipped with a private massage suite, a sauna, a cold plunge pool, a semi outdoor rain shower and bathtub. All pool villas are equipped with their own 10 metre pool, sundeck and outdoor dining. All Spa villa guests will benefit from a morning massage, an afternoon Spa treatment and a refreshing Spa breakfast.

The Spa has 2 double treatment rooms looking over the paddy fields and also incorporates sunken baths to bathe in before or after you try some signature treatments like Chlorophyll Wrap, Papaya Volcanic Pumice Scrub or an organic Jurlique Facial. Only the best organic ingredients are used including volcanic mud, pumice and herbs and make for a fairly unique Spa experience.

Other facilities include a 35 metre swimming pool, a tennis court and a Gallery. All guests can expect the following complimentary: Free laundry, daily newspaper, fresh seasonal fruit delivered daily, American breakfast, free mini-bar, snacks and refreshments daily in your room or one of the 2 restaurants, return airport transfers by resort limousine and a limousine shuttle to the centre of Ubud.
