Location

This fantastic property is situated in Kumarakom, close to the famous bird sanctuary and at the heart of Kerala’s backwaters. Aside to the new meandering pool rooms, the resort is built in traditional Kerala wood, every room being detached.

When you are not enjoying the Spa here there is plenty to keep you happy, from enjoying a sunset cruise, taking part in water sports, taking afternoon tea, or dining at the a la carte seafood restaurant on the bank of the lake whilst watching the sun go down.

Rooms

There are 6 categories of room: Heritage Villas – Garden View and Lake View; Meandering Pool Villas (which have direct access to the meandering pool); Heritage Villas with Private Pool; Meandering Pool Duplex Villas, and the Presidential Suites (which have their own private pool). All rooms have outdoor bathrooms. You can even stay on a luxury houseboat for a night which comes complete with air-conditioning and a DVD player.

Spa

The friendly and traditional Ayurvedic Spa has been awarded Green Leaf classification by the government of Kerala. There are 7 treatment rooms and an Ayurvedic doctor is onsite all of the time. Individual treatments are most popular with the guests here, for example, Ayurvedic facial, Shirodhara, and Rejuvenation Massage. It is also possible to undertake treatment packages, for example for digestive complaints, migraines, and arthritis. Yoga and meditation are also available. In our opinion this property provides a perfect combination of classical Indian luxury accommodation with an authentic Ayurvedic Spa.
