Location

Situated on stunning Kovalam beach, Kerala’s most famous beach, and just 15 minutes from Trivandrum and its airport the Leela is built on a rocky headland, spread over 44 acres. Several dining and bar options exist including: The Terrace and The Beach restaurant, serving excellent local seafood. There is a also a very cool infinity swimming pool at lobby level with stunning views over the Indian Ocean. The 186 rooms are located in either the Beach-View Wing, The Pavilion Wing, or in The Club (Sea-View Wing).

Rooms

All rooms have bathroom with walk-in shower, 24 hour in-room dining, Concierge services, mini bar, air-conditioning, and satellite TV. Finer touches include a pillow menu and morning newspaper. For a quieter option, the Pavilion Wing rooms have now all been converted into suites, with their own plunge pool. These rooms have their own check-in and swimming pool and, being down at beach level, unlike the rest of the hotel which is perched on the promontory, take breakfast at the Beach Restaurant.

The Club, for those looking for that extra special holiday, occupies an impressive position on the cliff top. It has 49 club rooms, 6 club suites, and 1 duplex suite. There
is a private check-in, a Club Lounge serving cigars and a collection of fine liquor, an
infinity pool, and a separate Spa (specialising in Western treatments, although you can of course take advantage of the Ayurveda Spa as well).

Spa

The Ayurveda Spa, with its own specialised Ayurvedic Doctor and luxurious treatment rooms offers extensive treatments focusing upon Rejuvenation and Detoxification. Packages from 7 to 40 days are available. Lots of yoga and meditation classes are available.

The Leela is the perfect base for exploring southern Kerala, including the tip of India,
where you can enjoy fine Indian cuisine and Ayurvedic Spa treatments. If you feel like pushing the boat out, The Club building is highly recommended.
