Location

Pangkor Laut Resort is THE ultimate beach resort getaway. Situated on its own private island of 300 acres, the resort is the only dwelling on the whole island leaving the remaining 80% as lush rainforest. Three miles off the mainland and reached by Pangkor Laut’s ferry or private speed boat, this resort really has seclusion beyond almost any other and it’s not hard to see why Pavarotti fell in love with the place.

Rooms

There are five main room categories on offer, The Spa and Sea Villas form the image for which the resort is probably best known – these being situated on stilts over water.

The Beach, Garden and Hill Villas, situated accordingly, are similar in size, have just been renovated, and are of exceptional quality. The three suites comprise of two Sea Suites over the water and the Pavarotti Suite situated on the hillside. Finally, for the ultimate in luxury, there are the Pangkor Laut Estates. Spa

The award-winning Spa Village practises therapies from India, China and Malaysia as well as offering an extensive spa menu which covers more generic treatments such as Swedish massage and reflexology. The real bonus for our clients is the Indian spa menu which is purely Ayurvedic, making Pangkor Laut one of the few resorts outside India and Sri Lanka to offer an holistic Ayurveda programme

Dining & Leisure

The dining options are verging on excessive for a resort of this size but that is the luxury that Pangkor Laut affords you - unrivalled quality in a wide range of venues. Amongst 4 eateries (and a further 2 during the day), the new and unique Feast Village is a culinary adventure area which showcases a mouth-watering selection of delightful cuisine from the Asia region. The new Strait's Restaurant, set against the rocks over the water provides some of the finest Strait's cuisine drawn from Malay and Thai influence.

Other activities available include sailing, water-skiing, kayaking, golf, fishing, jungle walks and cookery classes.

Housed in double-storey units, the villas on the ground floor feature a huge bathtub in a private open courtyard while the bathrooms on the first floor open out to the rainforest.

Garden Villa

Located at the foot of the hillside and set amongst the beautiful tropical gardens. These villas follow the same structure as the hill villas.

Beach Villa

Clustered around tropical gardens within a few steps of a white sandy beach. The villas are structured in one level, two-unit buildings and come with a private outdoor bath.

Sea Villa

Uniquely set on stilts over the sea, linked by wooden walkways. These villas offer wonderful views of the sea and the surrounding islands, with an en-suite bathroom and a spacious bath surrounded by spectacular ocean views.

Spa Villa

Set on stilts over the sea, offering direct access to the spa village. Similar to the sea villas, each unit features an oversized bath with a ceiling-mounted shower, a large balcony for private sunbathing and a stunning view of the Straits of Malacca.
