Location

Set on the deserted beach of Yeh Gangga, 15 minutes north of Tanah Lot, this very special boutique resort is what this coast has been crying out for – a remote and secluded property but with mod cons and luxurious rooms made from local material. The paddy fields surround you to the north, south and east with the beach beckoning right in front of the resort to the west. The style is thatched cottage and this continues from reception to rooms, spa and restaurant. There is a very open air feel to the place, a large amount of space being afforded for so few rooms. It is very quiet here and for a pure chill out holiday, or just a few days before you were ready for some nightlife again, this place is perfect.

Rooms

Each of the 10 lanai cottages and 2 pool villas are detached. The 10 lanais sit slightly back from the beach on higher ground and meander down gently towards the pool and reception area. Each has its own garden surrounding it and a bench with a table that faces west for the awesome sunsets.

The rooms themselves are beautifully designed and use a lot of wood, particularly in the grand 4-posters that stand in the middle of the room. The beds face the sea and doors open onto the veranda and small garden. The bathrooms are very large and consist of shower, sunken marble bathtubs, double vanity basins and outdoor shower.

The pool villas are new (Nov 2007) and sit side by side closer to the ocean. Their main bedroom size is slightly larger than the lanai cottages and the bathroom also slightly bigger, but they also have an extra double bedroom in a detached building, a larger sundeck, small pool and a covered day bed gazebo. The views to the sea are completely uninterrupted and are a great place to lounge away the day!

Spa

As befitting a resort of this size, the Spa is very boutique with 2 treatment rooms plus a sauna and floral bath. It is open from 9.00 am – 21.00. Various massage treatments, wraps and scrubs plus beauty treatments are available.
