Location

Halong Bay is a UNESCO world heritage site in its own right, located in the Gulf of Tonkin off the north coast of Vietnam. A series of over 3000 limestone karsts jet up from the sea to form an incredible array of secluded beaches and grotto. This phenomenal backdrop is best viewed by staying over night on a traditional but luxurious junk such as The Halong Violet.

Cabins

The junk consists of just six cabins in total, each decorated in a classic 1930s Indochinese style in keeping with the essence of the junk.

Dining

All meals are included in the rate of the cruise. Fresh seafood and delicately prepared Vietnamese cuisine will be served to you either in the main dining area or on the top deck underneath the stars.

The junk is one of the only sailings on the bay, which comes equipped with spa and fitness centre. Guests can choose from a range of traditional Vietnamese treatments.

Touring & Exploring

Whilst the junk is undoubtedly fitted for relaxation and appreciation of its surroundings, there are planned excursions included in each package. Kayaking is available as well as visits to the beaches and caves for which the bay is famous for, cookery demonstrations can also be arranged.

Travel Information

Halong Bay is located around 4 hours drive to the East of Hanoi - most visitors will spend time in Hanoi whilst exploring Vietnam. It is also possible to fly from Haiphong airport to Saigon and Danang; Haiphong is just 1.5 hours from the Bay, thus saving time on returning to Hanoi. The charming rural area of Ninh Binh makes a interesting option for those wishing to spend more time in this area of the country.
